FAQ

FAQ

  • How long will my procedure take?
Typically, on average, your procedure should take about 30 minutes. We ask, kindly, that you please keep in mind that every patient is different and that some may take longer than others.
  • Do I have to have a driver?
Since you will be given sedation, you absolutely must have a driver. You will not be permitted to drive, and you should not make important financial or legal decisions up to 24 hours after your procedure. No buses, taxis, or rideshares are allowed unless you are accompanied by a responsible adult. Medical transport is permitted. If you prefer, you can forego the sedation during your procedure and  will be allowed to drive yourself.
  • Is the procedure painful?
Since you will be receiving sedation you should only experience slight and minimal discomfort during your procedure.
  • What happens if I can not make it to my procedure?
If you are unable to make to your procedure, for any reason, please call and let us know at least 24 hours in advance so that we may reschedule you. Please keep in mind that if you cancel more than three times we will have to send your referral back to your primary care/ordering physician(s).
  • What if I don’t finish my prep?
If you are not able to finish your prep then you will not be allowed to have the procedure done. It is very important that you take the prep as directed. Any deviation from the guidelines could very well result in an incomplete procedure and rescheduling.
  • How long before I can drive/make important decisions after the procedure?
You will have to wait 24 hours for the sedation to fully wear off.
  • Is my driver allowed to leave the facility?
Although we prefer that your driver stay at the facility they are free to leave as long as they leave us a direct number to contact them where they can be easily reached.
  • What should I bring to my procedure?
Please bring a list of your current medications, your ID, insurance card and a registration sheet if you have one.
